Byelaws and Directions

Every Statutory Harbour Authority has the ability to regulate activities within their jurisdiction. If the Byelaws and Directions are not up-to-date and fit for purpose that ability is often fatally impaired. Without effective regulations a Harbour Authority has no 'teeth' and whilst most harbour users are decent people there will be times the local laws will need to be relied upon.

We can assist with drafting byelaws, general directions, special directions and pilotage directions. We can also assist with producing procedures for issuing directions and with drafting Local Notices to Mariners.
