River Hamble Harbour Authority governance review

Hampshire County Council are reponsible for the River Hamble Harbour Authority. Recognising the need to review the governance of the River Hamble, Hampshire County Council instructed Marine Enforcement to compile a discussion paper outlining the options available.

Port Marine Safety Code - The Role of The MCA

The MCA are now responsible for monitoring compliance with the Port Marine Safety Code (PMSC). They will be initiating measures to either "be assured of compliance" or "to ensure compliance". Reluctant Ports will be encouraged to comply. The MCA will also be active in "incident follow-up".
